CERT-RO has launched the eCSI project, “Enhanced National Cyber Security Services and Capabilities for Interoperability – eCSI”
The Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CERT-RO) has launched the “Enhanced National Cyber Security Services and Capabilities for Interoperability (eCSI)” project, with a grant of approximately 1,000,000 EUR for the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) EUR 869,000, 75% of the total eligible costs.
The purpose of the action is to create, maintain and expand cyber security capabilities of the National Cyber Security Response Team – CERT-RO, as well as the cyber security services it provides at national level. The action will enable CERT-RO to achieve a state of readiness that will facilitate equality-based participation in the European Union (EU) Co-operation Mechanisms and the IT security platform established by the Telecommunications Work Program of the Facility for Interconnection of Europe (CEF) 2015 (C (2015) 7381).
Thus, within the project, CERT-RO will launch sustainable operational services in real time and allow new uses and capabilities of cyber security services, processes and tools. The main services developed within CERT-RO are:
- The National Cybersecurity Services Platform (NCSP),
- Call-Center Cyber Security available 24/7,
- The provision of a Malware Analysis and Investigation Laboratory,
- Organizing cyber security training for managers and IT specialists from public institutions,
- Promotion actions.
The measures will ensure the compliance of CERT-RO with the requirements of EU Directive 2016/1148 (NIS Directive) and will help to raise national awareness of technical and organizational requirements to achieve a high level of cyber security.
The project has a implementation duration of 2 years and will be completed in August 2019.
